Child's Sight

Sight For Kids is the largest-known, school-based eye health program that provides comprehensive eye health services in low-income schools around the world. Since its inception in Thailand in 2002, Sight For Kids has trained over 35,000 school teachers in Bangkok and the provinces to help select up to 200,000 potentially visually impaired children per year to join the program. Each year, 8,000-9,000 students receive eye screenings and examinations by professionals from the Optometry Department, Ramkhamhaeng University. Approximately 4,000-5,000 pairs of glasses are given to visually impaired students. To date, more than 92,500 pairs of glasses have been given to Thai youths, mostly in underserved communities.
